Hawaiian Inspired Color Palette
This colorful interior compliments the bright palette of the lush Hawaiian setting.
From the moment you approach the residence you are struck by the colors and beauty of the surroundings.
The soft exterior color scheme selected for the facade does not distract from the homes breathtaking location high above Kealekekua Bay.
The contrast of warm and cool tones continues throughout. This view gives a peek of the bright “ladybug red” wall of the study. The paint colors throughout are by Benjamin Moore.
All the natural finishes from the bamboo cabinets to the natural quartzite floor edged in jade marble is the backdrop and balance to the bright bold colors.
Dining is on the lanai with the great view and a relaxed design.

The orange tones of the vessel sinks and soft yellows of the walls complete the look of the Master Bath
The natural quartzite floor carries up the wall for the tub surround. A rounded free standing bamboo cabinet makes a statement and is functional as the linen storage.
In the Master Bedroom the art becomes the focal point on the warm yellow tones of the wall.
The focus of the art is further created by the soft drape of fabric at the head of the bed and the rich orange tones of the wall.
As you view the two areas of the main living space in this montage you see how the strong color palette compliments the natural finish materials.

Contemporary Remodel Ocean View Condominium
The challenge of this remodel was to create a spa like Master Bath from two small apartment sized bathrooms. The custom designed vanity is the center of the new enlarged bath suite.
On one side of the vanity is the bathing area. The elongated tub by Phillipe Stark for Duravit keeps the space open. The spa theme is continued with classic grey and white marble tile on the walls and suede like porcelain floor tile from Sunset Tile.
The vanity area has a gracious amount of space surrounding it and gives access both to the hall and Master Bedroom.
Custom shower with seamless glass enclosure keeps the space open.

Small Projects: Townhouse Remodel
This townhouse remodel included redesigning the entry foyer, the stairway, powder room and guest bath. The total project budget was fifty thousand dollars. The stair railing was redesigned with inset etched glass squares and an industrial look was given to to the stairs by exposing the wood.
BEFORE PHOTO: Stairway before redesign. The carpet was removed and the structural wood of the stairs were refinished and stained with new trim.
BEFORE PHOTO: The entry foyer to the townhouse was dark and the enclosed carpet stairway had a very dated look.
The etched glass inset panels add light to both the foyer and the stairway. A new light peach tone color contrasted with bright white trim adds a freshness to the interior.
BEFORE PHOTO: The remodel included updating the powder room which had a dated corner sink and no storage.
The new powder room greets you with a bright blue wall, contemporary European designed plumbing fixtures and a tall custom built birch storage unit – reflected in the mirror.
